Brain Farts was a weekly humor column that ran
in the Louisville Eccentric Observer
(LEO) from
mid-2000
until the summer of 2002. It was, well, eccentric. And occasionally satirical.
And sardonic. Some liked it, some hated it; some
just didn't get it, and that's OK. There were times when I didn't get it either.
I've compiled
here some of the archives from Brain Farts for the enjoyment of friends, family
and anyone else who happens by. I also have written some new Brain Farts, and
added some links and other trivialities that you shouldn't be too concerned
with.
Unless you're as bored as I am.

My Dog |
|
|
Yes, this is a photographic
tribute to my dog. I named him Darby in tribute to Fehr's Darby Ale, my favorite beer at
Bluegrass Brewing Company. The beer is based on a recipe from the old Fehr's
Brewing Company here in Louisville; the dog, however, is not.
Meet Darby. |

The Uncommon Houseflies |
|
The Uncommon Houseflies is a
semi-fictitious band comprising myself and my son, Scott,
as well as our friend Kirk Kiefer. Our sound is difficult to describe, but
we definitely don't take ourselves too seriously. Basically,
If you like Fountains of Wayne
but don't necessarily like the great production or spot-on vocals, the
Uncommon Houseflies are for you. |

And
then there's my friend, Darrell the Evil Clown. Some people say Darrell is
my alter-ego. I haven't decided yet if they're right. |
